Scope

This standard specifies the ordering content, grade designation method, dimensions, shape, weight and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for steel plates used in low-temperature pressure vessels.
This standard applies to steel plates with a thickness of 5 mm to 120 mm used in the manufacture of low-temperature pressure vessels at temperatures ranging from -196°C to less than -20°C.
