Scope

This part of GB/T 2423 is used to determine the corrosive effects of indoor working and storage environments on electrical and electronic product components, equipment, and materials, especially on contact points and connectors. Contact points and connectors can be evaluated as individual components, assembled into a module, or assembled into a complete device.
The test methods provided in this part help to compare and select materials, manufacturing processes, and component designs in terms of corrosion resistance. Guidelines for selecting test methods and test durations are provided in Appendix C.
