Scope

This part of GB/T 2423 is used to determine the corrosion effects of working and storage indoor environments on electrical and electronic product components, equipment, and materials, especially contact points and connectors. They can be evaluated separately as individual components, assembled into a component, or assembled into a complete device.
The test methods provided in this part help to compare and select materials, manufacturing processes, and component designs in terms of corrosion resistance. Guidelines for selecting test methods and test durations are provided in Appendix C.
