Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for coated cobalt powders, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and the contents of contracts (or purchase orders).
This standard applies to coated cobalt powders using paraffin as a molding agent for use in the hard alloy industry. Coated cobalt powders using polyethylene glycol or polyethylene as molding agents can be used as a reference.
