Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for liquid crystal quartz watches (hereinafter referred to as "liquid crystal watches"). This standard applies to liquid crystal display watches equipped with quartz resonators and having a nominal operating voltage of DC 1.50 V or DC 3.0 V, which feature time and date displays or other additional functions. Liquid crystal display watches that are not worn on the wrist and liquid crystal quartz watch movements may also be used as reference for this standard.
