Scope

This part of GB/T 20405 specifies a method for determining the thermal loss of moisture content in super-absorbent powder made of cross-linked polyacrylate (PA) with a moisture content ranging from 0% to 5%. This method can achieve an accuracy of 0.1%. This part is applicable to the testing of free-flowing powdered polymers used in super-absorbent materials at temperatures between 15 and 150°C. Volatile substances such as water present in this temperature range may have an impact on the test results.
