GB/T 34590.8-2017 Road vehicles—Functional safety—Part 8:Supporting processes
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 34590 specifies the requirements for supporting processes, including: -- Interfaces in distributed development; -- Overall management of safety requirements; -- Configuration management; -- Change management; -- Verification; -- Documentation; -- Confidence in the use of software tools; -- Identification of software components; -- Identification of hardware components; and -- In-service proof. This standard applies to safety-related systems installed in mass-produced passenger cars that include one or more electronic and electrical systems. This standard does not apply to specific electronic and electrical systems on special-purpose vehicles, such as vehicles designed for disabled drivers. This standard does not apply to systems and their components that have already completed production and release, or to systems and their components developed before the date of this standard's publication. For systems and their components that have completed production and release before the publication of this standard, only the modified parts need to be developed in accordance with this standard. This standard addresses potential hazards caused by the faulty behavior of electronic and electrical safety-related systems, including potential hazards caused by the interaction of these systems. This standard does not address hazards related to electric shock, fire, smoke, heat, radiation, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, corrosivity, energy release, etc., unless the hazards are directly caused by the faulty behavior of electronic and electrical safety-related systems. This standard does not address the nominal performance of electronic and electrical systems, even if these systems (such as active and passive safety systems, braking systems, adaptive cruise control systems) have dedicated functional performance standards.
