GB/T 34590.10-2017 Road vehicles—Functional safety—Part 10:Guideline
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 34590 provides an overview of GB/T 34590 and additional explanations, with the aim of enhancing understanding of other parts of the standard. This part is only for reference and describes the general concepts of GB/T 34590 for easy understanding. The explanations extend the general concepts to specific content.
This standard applies to safety-related systems that include one or more electronic and electrical systems installed in mass-produced passenger vehicles.
This standard does not apply to specific electronic and electrical systems on special-purpose vehicles, such as those designed for disabled drivers.
This standard does not apply to systems and their components that have already been completed and released for production, or to systems and their components developed before the date of this standard's publication. For systems and their components that have been completed and released for production before the publication of this standard, only the modified parts need to be developed in accordance with this standard.
This standard addresses potential hazards caused by the malfunction of electronic and electrical safety-related systems, including those caused by the interaction of these systems. This standard does not address hazards related to electric shock, fire, smoke, heat, radiation, toxicity, flammability, reactivity, corrosivity, energy release, etc., unless these hazards are directly caused by the malfunction of electronic and electrical safety-related systems.
This standard does not address the nominal performance of electronic and electrical systems, even if these systems (such as active and passive safety systems, braking systems, adaptive cruise control systems) have dedicated functional performance standards.
If there are inconsistencies between this part and other parts of this standard, the requirements, recommendations, and information defined in other parts of this standard shall prevail.
