Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 18442 specifies the technical requirements for the materials, design, manufacture, and inspection of fixed vacuum insulated cryogenic pressure vessels constructed using strain hardening technology. This part applies to vessels that meet the following conditions: a) comply with the provisions of GB/T 18442.1 section 1.2, and the medium contained is frozen liquefied gas; b) the material is austenitic stainless steel; c) the nominal thickness is not less than 4 mm and not more than 24 mm, and it is composed of a single-diameter cylinder and a standard elliptical head; d) the strain hardening treatment is completed at room temperature. This part does not apply to vessels that contain mediums with a toxicity hazard level of moderate or higher.
