Scope

This document provides an overview of the corrosion test methods for combustion smoke flow of electrical and electronic products and their materials, and briefly describes the commonly used test methods in international standards, national standards, or industrial standards. The content includes special observations on the correlation between these test methods and real fire scenarios, and provides recommendations for using these test methods.
One of the tasks of the product committee is to use this series of standards whenever applicable when drafting standards in this field. Unless specifically mentioned or listed in the relevant standards, the requirements, test methods, or test conditions in this document will not apply.
