Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, instrumentation and equipment, on-site inspection techniques, and result evaluation for dynamic testing of highway bridge piers. It is applicable to dynamic testing and evaluation of reinforced concrete thin-walled piers, thin-walled hollow piers, and column-type piers of highway bridges. Other types of bridge piers can be used as reference. This document is applicable to the energy efficiency testing of in-service gas boilers with a rated working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa and less than 3.8 MPa, but not applicable to the energy efficiency testing of boilers that burn gaseous fuels. The energy efficiency testing of boilers after relocation, modification, or major repairs shall be conducted in accordance with this document. The energy efficiency testing of atmospheric pressure hot water boilers can be conducted with reference to this document.
