Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, specifications, applications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of high-density polyethylene sheathing materials for bridge cables.

This standard applies to high-density polyethylene sheathing plastics for bridge stay cables and suspension ropes, which are made from high-density polyethylene resin as the main raw material, with the addition of modifiers, antioxidants, light stabilizers, carbon black or pigments, and other additives, and then processed through mixing, plasticizing, and granulation. Other types of cable sheathing plastics for cable structures can be used as reference.
