Scope

This standard describes the electrostatic discharge and ignition, and stipulates the electrostatic protection measures, the safety limits of electrostatic hazards, and the analysis and determination of electrostatic accidents. This standard applies to the design and management of sites where electrostatic ignition (explosion) and other electrostatic hazards exist. Other electrostatic hazards (such as electrostatic interference and electrostatic damage to electronic components) can refer to the relevant provisions of this standard. This standard does not apply to the prevention of electrostatic hazards in explosives and electric pyrotechnics.
