Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for electrostatic protection to prevent electrostatic discharge from causing fires and explosions, electrostatic management measures, requirements for electrostatic hazardous areas, electrostatic protection measures for solid, liquid, gaseous, and powdered materials, human electrostatic protection measures, and the analysis and identification of electrostatic accidents.
This document is applicable to the design and management of electrostatic hazardous areas.
Note: The protection against other electrostatic hazards (such as electrostatic shocks) can be referenced for use.
This document is not applicable to the prevention of electrostatic hazards in explosives, electric ignition devices, and fireworks and firecrackers.
