Scope

This standard applies to the determination of severe accident indicators, general accident indicators, general aviation accident indicators, and aircraft ground accident indicators in civil aviation (hereinafter referred to as "aircraft"). This standard does not apply to the determination of accident indicators for aircraft used for national rescue, disaster relief, aerial sports, personal recreational flights, and other specific purposes. This standard does not apply to situations such as illegal aircraft flights or intentional sabotage.
