Scope

This part of GB/T 39552 specifies the classification, requirements, selection of test samples, marking, and packaging of plain sunglasses and sunglass lenses. This part applies to sunglasses, sunglass lenses, sunglass clips, and sunglass sets for general use (such as walking and driving). The transmittance requirements for prescription correction sunglasses and sunglass lenses can refer to this part. This part does not apply to lenses that protect against artificial light sources (such as those used in tanning salons) or to goggles for industrial use, nor does it apply to special lenses that can directly observe the sun (such as observing solar eclipses).
