This part of GB/T 39552 specifies the test methods for plain sunglasses and sunglass lenses.
This part is applicable to general-purpose sunglasses (including those for walking and driving), sunglass lenses, sunglass clips, and sunglass sets. The test methods for the transmittance performance of prescription corrective sunglasses and sunglass lenses can refer to this part.
This part is not applicable to lenses that protect against the radiation of artificial light sources (such as those used in tanning salons) or to protective goggles for industrial use, nor to special lenses that allow direct observation of the sun (such as for observing solar eclipses).
