GB/T 23331-2020 Energy management systems—Requirements with guidance for use

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an energy management system, with the aim of enabling organizations to achieve continuous improvement in energy performance and energy management systems through a systematic approach.
This standard:
a) applies to any organization, regardless of its type, size, complexity, geographical location, organizational culture, or the products and services it provides;
b) applies to activities that are managed and controlled by the organization and that affect energy performance;
c) applies to any amount, use, or type of energy consumption;
d) requires verification of continuous improvement in energy performance, but does not specify the extent of such improvement;
e) can be used independently, or in coordination or integration with other management systems.
Appendix A provides guidance on the use of this standard. Appendix B provides a comparison of this standard with the previous version of the standard.
