GB/T 20674.1-2006 Plastics pipes and fittings—Equipment for fusion jointing polyethylene systems—Part 1:Butt fusion
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 20674 specifies the terms and definitions, basic concepts, main performance requirements, power supply requirements, test methods, auxiliary devices, inspection rules, and marking for hot-melt butt welding equipment used to heat polyethylene (PE) piping systems with electric heating plates. This part applies to mechanical drive and pressure drive hot-melt butt welding equipment used for butt welding connections in polyethylene (PE) piping systems. The pipes and socket fittings used for welding connections in polyethylene gas piping systems shall comply with the provisions of GB 15558.1-2003 and GB 15558.2-2005, respectively, and the pipes and fittings used for welding connections in polyethylene piping systems for drinking water and general pressure water supply shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13663-2000 and GB/T 13663.2-2005, respectively. The normal operating temperature range of hot-melt butt welding machines is -10℃ to +40℃. If the ambient temperature exceeds this range, it shall be agreed upon by the user and the equipment supplier. Hot-melt butt welding machines with fully automatic control systems shall also meet the requirements in Appendix A.
