Scope

This part of GB/T 1094 specifies the relevant insulation tests and minimum insulation test levels used in power transformers. When no specific requirements are provided by the user, this part recommends the minimum air insulation clearances between the externally charged components of the transformer and between them and the ground. This part applies to power transformers specified in GB/T 1094.1. For certain types of power transformers and reactors with their own standards, this part only applies when it is explicitly referenced by these standards.
