Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, and storage of precision pressure gauges.
This standard applies to mechanical pointer-type precision pressure gauges, vacuum gauges, and pressure-vacuum gauges (hereinafter referred to as "gauges") that use spring tubes (C-shaped tubes, disc spring tubes, and spiral tubes) as elastic elements.
Note: This standard includes stainless steel pressure gauges and pressure gauges with non-standard casings.
