GB/T 4759-2009 Exhaust silencers for internal combustion engines—Measurement procedure
GB/T 4759-2009 Exhaust silencers for internal combustion engines—Measurement procedure
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the measurement methods for the acoustic and aerodynamic (gas dynamic) performance of internal combustion engine exhaust silencers (hereinafter referred to as silencers). It also provides requirements for measurement instruments, measurement conditions, and measurement positions, as well as calculation methods for the surface sound pressure level and sound power level of exhaust noise. This standard's engineering method can be used for acceptance testing. The acoustic measurements in this standard aim to obtain measurement results with a level 2 accuracy (engineering method). If the background noise correction value is greater than 1.3 dB but less than or equal to 3 dB, and/or the environmental conditions do not meet the requirements of this standard's engineering method, then measurement results with a level 3 accuracy (simple method) will be obtained. This standard applies to the testing of silencers for medium and small power internal combustion engines used in the scope of GB/T 6072.1. For other types of silencers (including intake silencers) for which there are no suitable national standards available, this standard can also be used as a reference for testing.
