Scope

This standard specifies the general characteristics, performance requirements, and testing methods for safety logic devices in nuclear reactors.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and testing (including acceptance and operational testing) of safety logic devices for nuclear reactor protection systems.
This standard does not apply to the safety logic functions performed within safety logic devices.
