Scope

This part of GB/T 13284 specifies the minimum functional and design requirements for the power sources, instrumentation, and control components of nuclear power plant safety systems. To comply with the provisions of this part, interface requirements are also proposed for other components of the safety system (see Figure 1). This part applies to those systems required to prevent or mitigate the consequences of design basis events and to protect public health and safety. It can also be referenced for all safety-related systems, structures, and equipment necessary to protect the overall safety of nuclear power plants.
