Scope

This document describes the ultrasonic testing method for copper and copper alloy rods, including the method principle, general requirements, instrumentation and equipment, selection of testing types, reference blocks, testing steps, defect evaluation, quality grades, and testing reports. This document is applicable to the A-type pulse longitudinal wave reflection method for ultrasonic testing of circular, rectangular, square, and regular hexagonal copper and copper alloy rods (hereinafter referred to as "rods") with a diameter of not less than 10 mm.
