This document specifies the requirements and related test methods for personal hygiene assistive devices (APPH) used to support users with functional impairments, including the working environment and safety characteristics of such products. This document stipulates the safety and performance requirements under normal use, foreseeable misuse, and in the event of a malfunction. It also prescribes methods for measuring the force required for operational control and sets limits for the force required for certain operations.
