Scope
This document specifies the material selection, structural elements, general precautions, and drawing requirements for casting design in heavy machinery. This document is applicable to steel castings, gray cast iron castings, nodular cast iron castings, and malleable cast iron castings that are cast using sand molds, metal molds, or molds with thermal conductivity similar to sand molds and metal molds in heavy machinery. Other castings can be used as reference.
