Scope
This standard specifies the grades, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, storage, packaging, and transportation requirements for austenitic manganese steel castings (hereinafter referred to as castings).
This standard applies to wear-resistant castings subject to varying degrees of impact loads in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, power, construction, railways, national defense, coal, chemical, and machinery. Other types of wear-resistant austenitic manganese steel castings can also be implemented with reference to this standard.
