GB/T 5008.2-2023 Lead-acid starter batteries—Part 2:Dimensions of batteries and dimensions and marking of terminals

Scope

This document specifies the model numbering and terminal polarity marking of lead-acid batteries used for starting (hereinafter referred to as batteries), as well as the battery models and their classification, and the location and dimensions of the battery terminals.
This document applies to exhaust-type (wet-cell type) batteries and valve-regulated (gas-regulated) batteries with a rated voltage of 12 V, which are used for starting, ignition, and lighting in various automobiles, tractors, and other internal combustion engines.
This document applies to start-stop batteries with a rated voltage of 12 V.
This document does not apply to batteries used for starting internal combustion engines in railways and heavy-duty vehicles.
