Scope

The absorption clamp method specified in this part of GB/T 31723 is applicable to determining the coupling or shielding attenuation characteristics of metal communication cables within the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1,000 MHz. This method can be used as an alternative to the three-coaxial method specified in IEC 62153-4-3. However, since the external circuit of the absorption clamp method is not specified, the test results obtained at different locations and in different laboratories may vary, with a possible deviation of more than ±6 dB.
