Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for portable lamps using electric light sources, with a power supply voltage not exceeding 250 V, and equipped with charging devices.
This standard applies to portable lamps with charging devices for household and similar purposes.
This standard does not apply to lamps whose batteries can be disassembled by hand, as well as:
——Lamps intended to provide emergency lighting;
——Lamps intended for use in special locations, such as those where there are corrosive and explosive gases (dust, vapors, or gas);
——Lamps charged by solar charging devices.
