Scope

This standard specifies the method outline, equipment, sample preparation, the range of sieve grades, result calculation, and errors.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the particle size distribution of continuous casting mould flux. Particles smaller than 0.074 mm (200 mesh) are measured using the water sieving method, and those larger than 0.074 mm (200 mesh) are measured using the dry sieving method.
