Scope

This standard specifies the principles, equipment, sample preparation, range of sieve grades, test steps, calculation and presentation of results, and test reports for the granularity distribution test of continuous casting protective slag. This standard is applicable to the determination of the granularity distribution of continuous casting protective slag. For samples less than 0.075mm, the water sieving method is used; for samples not less than 0.075mm, the dry sieving method is used.
