Scope

This part applies to fixed DC capacitors with a rated voltage not exceeding 6,300 V. These capacitors use polyethylene terephthalate film as the dielectric and metal foil as the electrodes. For capacitors with a rated voltage exceeding 1,000 V, additional tests and requirements may be specified in the detailed specifications.
The capacitors covered by this part are intended for use in electronic equipment.
Note: Capacitors used for radio interference suppression are not included in this part, but are covered in GB/T 14472.
