Scope

This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods for exhaust pollutants of diesel vehicles using the free acceleration method and the loaded deceleration method, as well as the methods and judgment criteria for the visual inspection of diesel vehicles and OBD inspections. This standard applies to the off-line inspection of newly produced diesel vehicles, the registration inspection, and the inspection of in-use vehicles. This standard also applies to other vehicles equipped with compression-ignition engines. This standard does not apply to low-speed trucks and three-wheeled vehicles.
