Scope

This standard applies to:
——Hollow porcelain and glass insulators for general use in electrical equipment;
——Hollow porcelain insulators in switching and control equipment that are subject to long-term gas pressure.
These insulators are used in indoor and outdoor electrical equipment with an AC rated voltage of not less than 1,000 V and a frequency of not more than 100 Hz, or a DC rated voltage of not less than 1,500 V.
