GB/T 2820.5-2009 Reciprocating internal combustion engine driven alternating current generating sets—Part 5:Generating sets
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 2820 specifies the terms, design, and performance of units operated by reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines and AC generators combined together.
This part applies to AC generator sets driven by reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines for land and marine use, but not for aviation or generator sets driving land vehicles and locomotives.
For certain special applications (such as hospitals and essential power supply for high-rise buildings), additional requirements may be necessary. The provisions of this part can serve as a basis for determining any additional requirements.
For AC generator sets driven by other types of reciprocating prime movers (such as steam engines), the provisions of this part can serve as a basis.
