GB/T 2820.1-2009 Reciprocating internal combustion engine driven alternating current generating sets—Part 1:Application,ratings and performance
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 2820 specifies the use, specifications, and performance of generator sets consisting of reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines, AC generators, control and switching devices, and auxiliary equipment.
This part applies to AC generator sets driven by reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines for land and marine use, but not for aeronautical applications or generator sets used to power land vehicles and locomotives.
For certain special applications (such as essential power supply for hospitals and high-rise buildings), additional requirements may be necessary. The provisions of this part can serve as a basis for determining any additional requirements.
For AC generator sets driven by other types of reciprocating prime movers (such as steam engines), the provisions of this part can be used as a basis.
Generator sets meeting the requirements of this part will be used for applications such as continuous power supply, peak load power supply, and backup power supply. The classification provisions of this part help facilitate mutual understanding between manufacturers and users.
