Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the oil content of chemical fibers: extraction method (Method A), neutral soap solution washing method (Method B), optical refractive index method (Appendix A), nuclear magnetic resonance method (Appendix B), and rapid extrusion method (Appendix C).
This standard is applicable to polyester (polyester), polyamide (nylon), polyacrylonitrile (acrylic fiber), polypropylene (PP), formaldehyde modified polyvinyl alcohol (Viscose), and regenerated cellulose fibers (viscose). Other types of chemical fibers can be used for reference.
