Scope

This part specifies the test methods and preferred test level ranges for electrical and electronic equipment connected to low-voltage power supply networks against voltage sags, short-term interruptions, and voltage changes.
This part applies to electrical and electronic equipment with a rated current of more than 16 A per phase (for equipment with a rated current of more than 200 A per phase, see Appendix E). This part applies to single-phase and three-phase equipment installed in residential and industrial areas and connected to 50 Hz or 60 Hz AC networks, where voltage sags and short-term interruptions may occur.
