Scope
This part of QX 10 specifies the selection and usage principles of surge protectors (SPDs) used in low-voltage electrical systems to prevent direct lightning strikes, lightning electromagnetic pulses, and other transient or temporary overvoltages. This part applies to low-voltage electrical systems with an AC voltage rating of no more than 1000V (r.m.s.) at a frequency of 48Hz to 62Hz, or a DC voltage rating of no more than 1500V.
