Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of hexavalent chromium using the spectrophotometric method of diphenylcarbodiimide.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of hexavalent chromium on the surface of steel plates and steel strips coated with zinc and zinc alloys, including pure zinc, zinc-iron alloys, zinc-aluminum, and aluminum-zinc alloys. The measurement range is: 2 μg/g to 100 μg/g or 0.020 μg/cm2 to 10 μg/cm2.
