Scope

This document specifies the requirements for measuring the balance of two- and four-pair cables as follows:
a) Class D, Class E, and Class EA end-to-end (E2E) links;
b) Class D, Class E, Class EA, Class F, Class FA, and Class I and Class II modular plug termination links (MPTL);
c) Class D, Class E, Class EA, Class F, Class FA, and Class I and Class II direct-connect cables.
The above-mentioned balance cable measurements include the performance of the terminated active connectors.
This document applies to the on-site and laboratory measurements of the aforementioned balance cables.
