Scope
This document specifies the general requirements for other parts of GB/T 18233. The cabling system specified in this document supports a wide range of applications, including voice, data, video, and power supply. This document stipulates: a) the basic structure and configuration requirements of the cabling system within the building types specified in other parts of GB/T 18233; b) channel transmission performance and environmental performance requirements; c) link performance requirements; d) a reference implementation of the backbone cabling supported by other parts of GB/T 18233; e) component performance requirements, as well as available components and testing method standards where appropriate; f) testing procedures to verify that the cabling transmission performance complies with the requirements specified in all parts of GB/T 18233. Note: This document does not include specific compliance requirements. Other cabling design documents supported by this document may use the requirements of this document as their own compliance requirements. Additionally, this document provides information on the applications supported by the cabling channel, and the specific requirements for supporting applications are listed in Appendix A.
