GB/T 31971.2-2015 Ships and marine technology—Marine environmental protection:Performance testing of oil skimmers—Part 2:Static water conditions
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 31971 specifies a method for quantitatively determining the performance data of oil skimmers under static water conditions, so that end users can objectively evaluate, compare, and assess the design and performance of different types of oil skimming devices. This method is suitable for testing in water tanks and stipulates the control requirements for the characteristics of oil and oil slicks. This part applies to all types of oil skimmers with equipment sizes within the limits of the test tank size. Under controlled conditions, this testing process provides comprehensive test results for the tested device and one or more types of oil. However, caution is needed when using these test results to predict the performance of oil skimmers under actual working conditions. For dedicated/embedded systems, the test steps described in this part are only applicable to similar types of oil skimming equipment, but not to entire oil skimming systems.
