Scope

This part of GB/T 40008 specifies the performance evaluation methods and calculation methods for hot water preparation systems. This part is applicable to household and similar-purpose hot water preparation systems (hereinafter referred to as "systems") that use heat pump water heaters, gas water heaters (gas instantaneous water heaters, volumetric gas water heaters), and electric water heaters (tank-type electric water heaters, instantaneous electric water heaters) as heating equipment for providing hot water. Other hot water preparation systems with different heat source equipment or applications may refer to and use this part. This part is not applicable to solar water heaters and composite water heaters that combine solar energy and other heat source equipment.
