Scope

This standard specifies the test purposes, test conditions, test contents and methods, as well as the test report for the external pressure strength test of the metal pressure-resistant shell (including pressure-resistant shell accessories) of submersibles.
This standard is applicable to the short-term hydrostatic external pressure test of the metal pressure-resistant shell (including pressure-resistant shell accessories) of submersibles. The external pressure strength test of other underwater devices and their pressure-bearing equipment can also be carried out in accordance with this standard.
Note: The short-term hydrostatic external pressure test is an external pressure test that does not consider the effects of inertia and acceleration, uses water as the test medium, and has a relatively short test duration.
