Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements, test procedures, and minimum acceptance criteria for telescopic mechanical winch jacks and hydraulic winch jacks installed on the drawbars of universal towed machinery as original equipment, or jacks installed with connecting brackets.
These jacks are specifically designed for:
—— Supporting the attachment points of the machinery during storage;
—— Raising and lowering the drawbars of the machinery to facilitate the connection or disconnection from agricultural tractors;
—— Leveling the fixed machinery.
This document applies to machinery equipped with jacks or jacks installed with connecting brackets.
Note: In this document, "universal towed machinery" is referred to as "machinery" hereafter. A drawbar is a device designed for connection to the mechanical coupling of a tractor.
