Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for empty cans made of tin-plated or chrome-plated thin steel sheets for canned food (hereinafter referred to as "empty cans"). This standard applies to the manufacture, use, circulation, and supervision and inspection of empty cans made of tin-plated or chrome-plated thin steel sheets, which are used for packaging livestock, poultry, aquatic animals, fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and other types of food, and have reached commercial sterility requirements after being sealed and sterilized.
