Scope

This part of GB/T 32078 specifies the self-contained breathing apparatus for shipboard firefighters required by the amendment of Part C (Fire Suppression) of Chapter II-2 of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974) and Chapter 3 of the International Fire Safety System (FSS) Rules.
This part is applicable to self-contained breathing apparatus for shipboard firefighters (hereinafter referred to as "breathing apparatus") used in small to medium-sized fire situations before the fixed fire protection system is activated and does not directly contact the flames.
